Pennsylvania Casino Applies for Poker License
Legislation in Pennsylvania recently changed to allow table games at the state’s casinos. Casinos are now applying for gaming licenses so they can include poker to their casino floors. The Las Vegas Sands Corp., runs the Bethlehem casino and they recently sent in a formal application to add poker as well as other table games to their casino.“When the first card is dealt, Sands Bethlehem instantly becomes the most convenient gaming location for millions of New York City and northern New Jersey residents,” said the President of the Sands Casino in Bethlehem, Robert DeSalvio.
The Sands is looking to add poker, blackjack, roulette and craps to their 3000 slot machines they already offer their players. The addition of table games would allow the casino a
chance to further develop their business and plans have already been discussed on adding a hotel and convention center.
Residents in Pennsylvania cannot wait to enjoy the new table games once they are added to the casino. The application process involves a hearing and if no one objects then the process will continue.
