Pennsylvania Applies for Table Games
The Rivers Casino in Pennsylvania recently announced they have applied for authorization from the state gaming control board to add table games to their casino floor. The venue is seeking to add eighty six table games to their facility. The casino wants to add poker, blackjack, craps, roulette, three card poker, mini-baccarat, pai gow poker, Texas hold’em bonus and big six. Twenty four of the eighty six games will be poker while forty two will be blackjack. The casino is going to build a separate room for poker and the current gambling floor will be redesigned to hold the other games.
The Rivers plans on hiring over 300 full time employees and 149 part time employees. About 350 of the jobs will go to dealers and the rest of the positions will go to managers, supervisors and other support staff. The casino hosted two job fairs recently to recruit candidates for their table games school. The gaming board has reviewed the petition from The Rivers and they will be scheduling a hearing to take testimony from the public about the casino’s new plans.
