Online Casinos may be banned in Poland
This past Tuesday the Polish Government approved a draft to a law that would limit casinos in the Poland. Gambling options would be changed in several ways and included would most likely be the banning of online casinos. Poland’s casino choices would be limited under the ban but only to ones that are already established. So any new permits would be excluded to new operators. Taxes on the current casinos in Poland would also be raised. Slot machines would be the only gaming option as video lotteries would be banned completely.
The law is still in the draft stages and needs approval from the president and parliament before it will be passed. These approvals have not been made as of yet but both parties are expected to approve the ban.
Many residents of Poland are questioning whether the ban will make a difference or not. Residents are looking at the US as gaming continues despite the government’s move to ban online gambling. Many feel gaming will continue despite the ban, if the law is changed.
