The Bethlehem Sands is a new casino that will be opening in the next few months. The casino is located in Pennsylvania and many in the area are looking forward to the opening, not just because you can gamble but also because the casino is brining one thousand jobs to the area. With the economy in its current shape and unemployment rising, jobs are needed and the casino will provide many.

The job center is now open and those interested can go apply. But for those who want to save gas, you can fill out an application and schedule an interview online. Currently more than five thousand people have applied.

There will be many different types of positions available. The vice president of human resources for the casino, Mickey Trageser commented that they will need food service, marketing, finance and security people among many others. Mickey believes that over ten thousand people will apply for the positions.

Of course the casino is not going to be able to employ all that apply but it is a step in the right direction for those who need employment. Hopefully we will see a shift in the economy and those without jobs will be able to find work and then maybe they can visit the Sands Casino for fun.
