Recently there has been talk of a new tax by the government in the Netherlands this tax will increase the tax on slots according to the Expatica a Dutch publication and the Holland Casino on online venture of a Dutch operator has come out with their concerns. Many online operators will be waiting to see how this tax is going to affect the Dutch State online gaming monopoly, as this tax is an amount of 40.85% if it is passed in to Dutch law. With a tax of this size it could bring the profit down so low for the online casinos that they may find offering slots games to not be beneficial to their profit margin.

A sizable tax such as this will take away much of the revenue of these Dutch operated online casinos with slots however were the monopoly broken and foreign operators allowed to operate online casinos in the Netherlands it would also affect these operators. This would make the Dutch market less profitable for any online casinos that operate slots games for their online players.
