European Union Investigates US Online Casino Trade Blockage
The European Union is investigating the US Online Casino Trade Blockage. At the time that UIGEA was passed the World Trade Organization had ruled against the law since it obstructed the free flow of trade as specified in various agreements.

The United States responded by working out deals with the affected countries, that included the European Union, Japan and Canada. They returned concessions to these countries in exchange for allowing the gambling block to stand.

The unfair laws that the United States have imposed with regards to online gambling are about to cause the country further problems as the European Union has opened and investigation into what could be possible US infringement on free trade.

European companies are complaining that since the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act was passed in 2006 that they have been prevented from operating in a manner permissible to America competitors.
