The eCommerce and Online Casino Gaming Regulation and Assurance are a nonprofit organization created by Microgaming and 888 that certify online casinos as safe and fair gaming sites. Online casinos that are certified are given the Safe and Fair seal and are subject to player dispute mediation service through the eCOGRA. The seals are given to the casinos based on eCOGRA’s standards in three main areas: Player Protection, Fair Gaming and Responsible conduct. These areas are referred to as eCOGRA’s Generally Accepted Practices or eGAP. Some of what the eGAP covers is: Probity Checks to prevent money laundering, Responsible advertising and promotions, software development and maintance, Payment to players and receipt of payment from players, security requirements and responsible gaming information. These are just a few of the requirements.
