The Commerce Casino in Las Angeles is getting ready for the 2009 L.A. Poker Classic. The event is scheduled to begin on January 22nd and continue until March 2nd. This year’s Classic will feature new events which includes three new $10,000 buy-in events.

Pot Limit Omaha, H.O.R.S.E. and a Heads Up Championship will all offer a new $10,000 event for each game. Another new feature to the tour will be the 7th Annual World Poker Tour Celebrity Invitational. It will take place during the Classic as well.

The $10,000 No Limit Hold’em Championship is expected to offer players a $6 million prize pool so many will definitely be taking advantage of this opportunity. Players can participate by paying the buy-in for each event of they can earn a seat through satellites, which can be played at the Commerce Casino.
