The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma recently announced they are expanding their Casino Resort Durant and it is expected to open in February 2010. The Choctaw Nation is working with Flintco Constructive Solutions and WorthGroup Architects on the expansion.

Once the expansion is complete it will create 1,000 new jobs and be 110,000 square feet in size. The new casino will hold 3,000 new slot games, 30 poker tables and 40 table games which will include Three Card Poker, Blackjack, Let It Ride, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, Pai Gow Poker, Mini Baccarat and Roulette.

A new 204,000 square foot hotel is also being created which will house 330 rooms which will range from double queen rooms to executive suites. The new hotel will also have several amenities including an indoor/outdoor pool, fitness center, business center and spa.

According to Chief Gregory Pyle of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, “The new casino and resort will bring an economic boom to the community by adding new jobs and economic growth while providing services to meet the needs of tribal members.”
