The Casino Regina is considering upgrading their facility by making improvements in the casino. "Our tag is 'Always Entertaining' and to do that we need to keep the property fresh and we need to keep it exciting," explained Angela Gordon, SGC director of corporate affairs.

She said that the renovations will complement their previous upgrades that took place late in 2006 and early 2007. The work included improvements to their box office, adding a food kiosk called the CR Express, refreshed the CPR Lounge, converting their gift shop into a coffee shop, expanding their washrooms and planed to convert the coat room into a poker facility.

"It's really building on what was already done there, just adding a bit more pizzazz to it, making it guest friendly, guest comfortable. They're meeting places for guests when they come down to enjoy some entertainment," explained Gordon.

The upcoming renovations are all about making their guests more comfortable and to bring in new customers. There isn't a timeline or dollar figure set for the proposed renovations as of yet but once the tenders for construction com in they will have a better idea of what the costs would be and how long the renovations will take to complete.
